OCR Configuration Explanation

The SecureServe OCR (Optical Character Recognition) system is designed to detect suspicious words or phrases displayed on a player's screen to identify potential cheats or mod menus. Below is an explanation of how it works and what actions to take when alerts are triggered.

How the OCR System Works

  1. The SecureServe.OCR table contains a predefined list of words and phrases that are flagged when detected on a player's screen.

  2. If the system detects any of these words, it will generate a log with a message like:

    Found word on screen [OCR]: "<detected_word>"

  3. The detected word is compared to the list in the SecureServe.OCR configuration to determine if the player should be flagged or banned.

Handling False Positives

Occasionally, the OCR system may flag legitimate words or phrases, resulting in false positives. When this happens:

  1. Check the log for the specific word that triggered the alert:

  2. Locate the word in the SecureServe.OCR table within the configuration file.

  3. If the word is safe and not related to cheats, remove it from the SecureServe.OCR table to prevent future false bans.

Updating the OCR Configuration

To maintain an effective OCR system:

  1. Regularly review and update the SecureServe.OCR table with new suspicious words or phrases based on community feedback and emerging cheats.

  2. Ensure that legitimate words accidentally flagged are promptly removed to avoid false bans.

  3. Keep detailed notes in the configuration file to track changes and the reasons for updates.
